Law and Justice Address


The Law and Justice Address is a highlight of the Law and Justice Foundation's Justice Awards. The Address provides an opportunity for individuals to reflect on what law and justice means to them.

2007
The 2007 Law and Justice Address, entitled Law for All; Justice for Each, was delivered by The Hon. Sir Gerard Brennan AC, KBE. Audio of the address is also available in MP3 format.

2006
The 2006 Law and Justice Address, entitled Who Matters? How Many, was delivered by The Rgt. Hon. Malcolm Fraser AC, CH. Audio of the address is also available in MP3 format.

2005
The 2005 Law and Justice Address, entitled Democracy and the Law, was delivered by The Hon. Sir Anthony Mason AC, KBE.

2004
The 2004 Law and Justice Address was delivered by Tim Costello, Chief Executive, World Vision Australia.

2003
The 2003 Law and Justice Address, entitled From the Periphery to the Centre: A New Role for Indigenous Rights, was delivered by Professor Larissa Behrendt.

2002
The 2002 Law and Justice Address was delivered by the Hon. Fred Chaney AO who spoke about current initiatives to improve access to justice for Indigenous people.

2001
The Chief Justice of NSW, the Hon. JJ Spigelman AC delivered the inaugural Law and Justice Address, which provided an insight into the Chinese judicial system, and generated discussion about the importance of judicial independence and judicial ethics in Australia.
