  • What’s the law? Train the trainer workshops

Legal Aid NSW

What's the law? Train-the-Trainer workshops provide teachers, tutors and community workers with the knowledge and confidence to deliver the 'What’s the law? Australian law for new arrivals' education package. The workshops cover key legal concepts from the education kit, how to deal with legal questions, making legal referrals and where to find more information.

  • Law for non-lawyers: an introduction to the law and the legal system

Public Interest Advocacy Centre (PIAC)

This two day training course includes content on how to identify when there is a legal problem and how the legal system can help, and how to locate a range of legal services and make a referral for assistance.

Individual Community Legal Centres also run workshops for community workers that include training on identifying legal problems and making referrals. Check the websites of individual CLCs for information.
